Chikara Wrestling is a promotion based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. For those not too familiar with the promotion, Chikara is based on the Lucha Libre style of wrestling and has been in existence since debuting in 2002. The promotion is very much gimmick orientated and many of their talent will wear masks.  The top championship in Chikara is the Chikara Grand Championship and is currently held by Princess Kimber lee, for which she became the first female wrestler to hold the top title in a major non-female promotion. This year sees them embark on their Aniversario 2016 UK Tour with seven stops in the UK; I attended the Birmingham show on Friday evening. Continue reading “Chikara UK Tour Birmingham Review”

PROGRESS SSS16 Day Two Review 2016

PROGRESS’ SSS16 reached its conclusion with the eight remaining competitors vying for the opportunity to face Marty Scurll for the PROGRESS Championship. Last year, Will Ospreay emerged victorious to go on to defeat the then 600 day+ PROGRESS Champion, Jimmy Havoc. PROGRESS SSS16 Day One Review 2016

PROGRESS hosted the first day of their annual Super Strong Style 16 tournament to determine the number one contender to Marty Scurll’s PROGRESS World Championship. Last year, Will Ospreay emerged victorious from a star-studded field to go on to successfully dethrone Jimmy  Havoc, the then 600+ day champion, to be crowned the PROGRESS Champion for the first time. Pro Wrestling CHAOS 05/21/2016 Review

Total Chaos was an evening based on matches and opponents chosen at random, no matches were confirmed beforehand, therefore a chaotic night was promised.
